When I was growing up in Asia, as a young child, watching how live chickens were dumped in hot boiling water was the norm … and the wet markets were a familiar place like going to a restaurant, it was just a complete disregard to the welfare of God’s creation - all live animals - a living soul with eyes who was given birth by a mother and has emotions and feelings.
How animals were and still are treated as NOTHING is still prevalent in this present day …
And as I get older ...
I saw the dog meat market happening in China, Korea, Vietnam, all over Asia especially the gruesome Yulin dog meat festival
The bear bile farms in Vietnam where bears are captured and caged in a tiny enclosure subjected to DAILY pain, torture and suffering where their bile are extracted daily in a routine manner while living in prison, most of them without any hope to step on grass or open space to explore, where they start to develop mental self destruction behavior
The tormented elephants in India and Thailand, where elephants are viewed as money making tools chained up for the rest of their lives - alone, and abused to work even when they are sick, and pricked and jammed by sharp metal tools to control them … all contributing to many of their mental disorder such as going around in circles and knocking against walls … many suffered for decades chained up such as Rajah, who got rescued only after 50 years of captivity, and actually teared up during the day he was rescued … sigh, this is no way to be alive on mother earth and be called God’s creation?
The Ukraine and Middle East war where the lose of family members such as pets and other animals are rampant … hundreds to thousands of pets without home as their family had to evacuate leaving them behind to fend for themselves, not by choice but by the reality of life.
The natural disaster on our Mother Earth such as hurricanes and wildfire continues to deepen the loss of animals and their welfare to unimaginable and unmanageable new heights …
